Not sure
  It says that it is for babies 1+ months, my son is 18 weeks now and his mouth is too small so it seems that maybe when he gets older he will begin to use it more. He is an early teether and I thought this would be great for him, unfortunately it isn't his thing yet. Maybe they shouldn't say that it's for babies 1+ months, because I cannot imagine a baby at 1 month being able to use this. I love MAM but so far this has not been any use or help to me in relieving my baby's teething blues.
